Event description
A unique, non-competitive cycle challenge takes you east from the coastal Sharjah lagoons, through the stunning Hajar Mountains across to the east coast of Khorfakkan and your final destination, Le Meridien Al Aqah. (You will be transported by bus to the hotel from the finish, unless we receive permission to ride the last section through Fujairah)
The route stretches 240km with approx 1700m of elevation along smooth tarmac roads, winding through dunes, over mountain climbs and along the beautiful east coast highway to the finish where you can enjoy the fine sandy beaches of Fujairah.
Register before Nov. 4th for the Urban-Ultra Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge 2023 winter and 2024 spring editions and receive a limited edition Urban-Ultra Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge cycling jersey.

- Refund policy
- Fees are non-refundable.All entry fees are non-refundable and at the discretion of the event organiser.
If the athlete is unable to participate on race day due to any reason:
- the athlete can get a refund of the race entry up to 7 days before the event (subject to a 10% administration fee); or
- the athlete can transfer the race entry to a fellow athlete before the registration closing date (subject to terms of service and subject to the prevailing registration fee on the day of transfer)
Furthermore, this event is subject to refunds as follows:
- for refunds related to cancelled events, we will contact you and issue a refund automatically.
- for refunds related to rescheduled events, we will contact you with the new date and time ASAP. In case you can't make the event, refunds will be done upon request.
- Store purchases are excluded from refunds.
- All refunds are subject to a 10% administration fee.

- SPEED PODS AND HOW THEY WORK
A ‘speed pod’ is a group of riders riding at a designated speed. The ‘pods’ will be organised based on the km speed you have estimated you will average and have submitted on your registration, so please be honest. Each rider pod (max 45 riders) will start out approx 2 mins apart. Participants wishing to ride in the same ‘pod’ we will do our best to accommodate you, but please ensure you fill in the same TEAM name for each rider on registration, and understand that you must all cycle at the same pace/speed. If you are registered as a lower/higher speed than the majority of the other team members, you will be assigned a speed pod according to your registered speed.
