Event description

Join us for the first aquathlon in Ajman. A race for novice and experienced athletes.

An aquathlon is a multisport race consisting of continuous run and swim elements. Competitors complete a swim immediately followed by a run over various sprint distances. Athletes compete for fastest overall course completion, including the time transitioning between the disciplines.

For the swim, please bring non-wetsuit & wetsuit swimming attire. Wetsuits will be allowed depending water temperature on the morning of the race. The provided swim cap must be worn and athletes are required to start in their allocated wave.

For the run, kindly wear a shirt or full-length tri-suit must be worn at all times. No ear-pods or headphone devices are allowed. Race numbers to be worn on the front during the run.

All participants will be presented with a finisher medal and t-shirts.

IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION:
COVID-19 test is required. PCR (nose swap) or DPI (blood test) are acceptable.

Test is free of charge opposite City Centre Ajman. A special counter is opened for athletes only. Test needs to be done within 48 hours before the race.

Registration close: Thu. 17 Dec. 2020 17:59 or sooner if the event is fully-booked.
Participation: Individual athletes
Refund policy: Athletes have the option to protect fees for unforeseen and outside of control cancellations.

Practical info

Races: Race information
Race pack collection: On race day at the venue from 5AM - 6AM.

At your corresponding allocated number on the run racks you will find your drawstring bag. The bag will contain a timing chip & ankle strap, race number, and swim cap.

You need to attach the timing chip to your LEFT ankle. Your chip will be collected from you at the finish line - if you don’t return your chip at this point you will be liable for a fee of AED100 – so please remember to return it!

Each wave will start with a different colour swim cap. Please make sure the colour of the cap in your race pack matches the colour shown on the information board. It is compulsory to wear these swim caps in the swim.

The race number must be clearly visible during the run.
