NEW RACE VENUE!!

As you are aware, the Covid-19 pandemic has meant that many things have had to change due to government restrictions. The Urban-Ultra Wadi Racer is unfortunately one of them.

The route and distances for the 2021 edition have therefore had to be changed due to local restrictions and permissions. Changes are as follows: NEW start/finish location (https://goo.gl/maps/r2rKiaXun3MHe78C9), DIFFERENT route, DIFFERENT distances (15k replaces 20k).

But don’t panic! Start point is not far away from the advertised one, route is now just single track which is as beautiful as ever, and distances are 10k, 15k and 30k. (30k is a double loop of the 15k route with a 4-hour cut-off).

If you have registered for the previously advertised 20k distance please advise if you wish to downgrade to the 10k or upgrade to the 30k distance asap - thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you on April 10th!

The single stage 10k, 15k or 30k trail running adventure will start and finish in a NEW venue. Starting at 5.00am – in darkness!

Check-in CLOSES at 4.45am. Start gun 5.00am sharp

Here you will be racing against the sunrise … racing out into the darkness with a headlamp (not supplied) – terrain is single track trail, with short sharp climbs and undulations. The course will be marked with light reflective material for navigation until the sun rises and you should cross the finish in the beautiful first light of the day. (Race cut-off is 4hrs - you must reach 15km 07:00am).

Water and electrolyte drinks will be provided during the race at the checkpoints but please make sure that your obligatory hydration pack (1.5ltr) is fully filled from your own supplies before the start.

Please be respectful of our surroundings and keep impact to a minimum. Leaving nothing but footprints when we leave.

Please note, that the course road is not closed to traffic, and locals use parts of it to access their villages. Be aware that you may encounter a minimal amount of cars or trucks whilst running. To keep this traffic to a minimum, we would ask that any supporters do so from the START/FINISH point so we minimise any chance of accident or injury and churning up dust for the runners.
