A desert dune run – 5 KM race across sand dunes in Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve
Al Marmoom Dune Run is the region's number one sand dune run taking participants across and over challenging desert terrain. The run will take place Saturday 12th February 2022 in Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve.
Trophies are awarded for the top 3 rankings in male and female categories and all participants receive finisher medals.
Al Marmoom Ultramarathon supports Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve's environmental commitment as one of the world's leading eco desert sports and tourism destinations and wildlife conservation preserves.
HEALTH ADVISORY
The health and safety of all participants, spectators, visitors, event management and crew is our highest priority. Regarding the COVID 19 pandemic, we will follow the guidelines and protocols stipulated by the UAE Ministry of Health & Prevention and Dubai Health Authority to ensure that every precautionary measure is implemented and adhered to in line with the UAE Government regulations.
Adherence to the 2 metre social distancing rules, regularly sanitizing and wearing masks at all times (unless engaged in a sports activity), will be strictly enforced.

- Highlights
- The run route will take participants across and over a challenging desert terrain. Participants must follow the route as marked out by the organizers, passing at a maximum distance of 5 meters from the markers. Failing to do so may incur penalties. The course will be clearly marked approximately every 60 - 100 meters. The organizers will provide briefing outlining the route conditions and there will be constant monitoring of all the runners during the run. Any participant withdrawing from the race must notify a race official as soon as possible.
