Dubai Cares, part of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, is a UAE-based global philanthropic organization working towards providing children in developing countries with access to quality education through the design and funding of programs that aim to be integrated, impactful, sustainable and scalable. Education is more than a human right, it is an irrevocable asset. Yet, 124 million children and young adolescents around the world don’t go to school and a further 250 million cannot adequately read and write.'

Education is one of the most effective tools to break the cycle of poverty, a belief held by our founder His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. It was from this belief and the desire to give children - regardless of their gender, nationality, race or religion - the opportunity to become positive contributors to society, that His Highness established Dubai Cares on September 19, 2007.

dnata runs the world: On Saturday 28 September, we will run or walk in our respective locations to make up the combined distance of the circumference of the world – 40,075km. The run will begin in Sydney and end in San Francisco and you can cover any distance above one kilometer to help us reach the total distance. This is our chance to make a difference by raising money for causes we are passionate about.

The donations for the different charitable organizations or foundations are administered by: Donations received globally, excluded the United Arab Emirates: Hopatec Ltd., (Company number 9237589), a company incorporated in the United Kingdom, having its offices at 1-4 Argyll Street, London, W1F 7LD, UK. Donations received from within the United Arab Emirates: Hopatec Sports Services LLC, (License number DED 683845), a company incorporated in the United Arab Emirates.

How do I know my donation only goes to my intended charity?

The charitable foundation itself is responsible for administering any transactions made through Hopasports to them. We will ensure that the charitable foundation receives your donation, along with a clear instruction about your choice of charity. This will ensure that your generosity finds the right target.

Can I see an overview of charity donations?

Yes, of course. On our website you will be able to see the amounts raised for each charitable cause. If you are a registered Hopasports member, you can also view a list of your personal donations on a cool blue thermometer, which is actually a fundraising chart.
