Experience the world's first marathon set on the extraordinary terrain of the historic Barsa-Kelmes lakebed! Immerse yourself in the pristine white salt surfaces and ancient dinosaur fossils that create a truly unique atmosphere. This isn’t just a marathon; it's a test of your spirit and physical endurance in extreme conditions.

For the first time ever, the BARSA KELMES Marathon will be held on the distinctive terrain of the Barsa-Kelmes salt lake bed, a site normally inaccessible. The surreal landscape, dotted with fossils of dinosaurs and megalodon sharks, provides an unparalleled backdrop for participants.

Event Schedule:
September 14, 2024

• 10 :00 AM - Race bag distribution at the "Damir" hotel.
• 12:00 PM Departure to the Barsakelmes salt flat.
• 3:00 PM - Arrival at the tent camp, tent setup, and lunch.
• 5:00 PM Briefing and instructions.
• 6:00 – 7:00 PM - Free time (relax in the lounge area).
• 7:00 PM - Dinner.
• 8:00 PM - Entertainment program "Ethno-Show":
- Bonfire show.
- Ethnic music.
- Fireworks.
• 9:00 PM – 10:00 PM – DJ Music program

Overnight Stay - Participants will stay overnight in a tent camp in rented tents.
The camp includes:
- 2 yurts as relaxation zones.
- 2 covered food zones for meal service.
- 10 portable toilets for participant convenience.

September 15 ( Next Day)

• 4:30 AM - Wake-up.
• 4:45 AM - Breakfast.
• 5:15 AM - Departure to the starting point (10 km transfer from the camp
by jeep).
• 6:00 AM - Start of races (5 km, 10 km, 21 km, 42 km).
• Water stations every 5 km.
Post Race : Return to Yurt Camp
• 1:00 PM - Lunch in the camp after the race.
• 2:00 PM - Departure back to Nukus

Return Bus :

- Organized bus transfers from Nukus to the salt flat and back. Race bags will be distributed by team leaders to international athletes for group entries.
- The organizers provide detailed instructions on how to reach the event venue. These include transportation options from the UAE to cities in Uzbekistan, from where you can continue your journey to Nukus, as well as the route from Tashkent to Nukus (where the event will start).
- Runners must take full responsibility to ensure they arrive at the Meeting Point at Damir Hotel in Nukus by 10 AM on September 14th to collect their race kits. Please note that punctuality is crucial.
