Marjan Cycling Challenge

Description: A bicycle race on the road divided into three categories A, B, and C. The goal is to encourage athletes to practice cycling and raising the level of advanced racers.

Location: Ras Al-Khaimah – Marjan Island

About Marjan Island:

Marjan Island is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in Ras Al Khaimah.

It is a man-made island located on the outskirts of Ras Al Khaimah near to Umm Al Quwain with an area of 115 acres. The island is divided into four sub-islands forming an archipelago shaped as coral reefs.

Marjan Island provides many real estate options available for freehold ownership, which are highly sought after by local and foreign investors. Many residential and tourism projects have already been completed on the island, while others are still under development. There are other famous residential projects close to the island, such as Al Hamra Village and Mina Al Arab.

Participation Terms & Conditions:

Cycling challenge is open to all society members, including institutions, citizens, or residents. Participants must be at the age of 18 or above.

Time Plan:
1- Opening of race and giving out numbers (5:30 am)
2- End of passing out numbers (6:30 am)
3- Instructions (6:50 am)
4- Group A : 42 km ( start time (7:00 am )
5- Group B : 21 km ( start time (7:05 am )
6- Group C: 12 km ( start time (7:10 am )
7- Reaching finish line (08:00 am )
8- Maximum time for reaching finish line (09:00 am)
9- Award ceremony (09:30 am )
10- End of event (11:00 am)

Note:

Numbers will not be provided once the race started.

Participants must be present 30 minutes before the race start time.

Registration:

- Registration will be via WhatsApp or a barcode.

- Registration will be announced one month before the race date and shall be closed three days before the event.

- Registration will be open on the website WWW.myraceresult.com

- Results will be posted on the website shortly after the race.

- All participants are required to bring their Emirates ID card.

- Numbers of participants could be received one day before the race or on the race day as scheduled above.

Prizes:

- Participation Medal for each participant in addition to crowning the winners of group A & B.

- E-certificates for all participants submitted via the website.

Participation numbers:

Participants can choose between receiving the numbers on the day of the race before 1 hour of the start time, or by home delivery. Knowing that each number carries an electronic chip includes the same number and the participant’s personal information.

Water stations:

Water, beverages, and fruits are provided at the beginning and during the race.

Ambulance :

An ambulance vehicle with specialists will be available at the end of the race. Paramedics will be ready to assist during the race.

Helmet :

All participants must wear a helmet
