The EQ RUNEXPLORATION 2024, THE TOUGHEST FOOTRACE IN THE PLANET, is a legendary walking/running experience in the biggest sand desert in the world, located in Saudi Arabia. Participating in the EQRE means having your name forever engraved in the center of the Rub Al Khali. The first ever organised in the Middle of the biggest sand desert in the world.
THE EQRUN EXPLORATION 2024 IS A SIX-DAY ULTRA RUNNING OPEN TO RUNNERS AND WALKERS, FREE STYLE, AND WITH FOOD SELF-SUFFICIENCY FOR A TOTAL DISTANCE OF 290KM in the Empty Quarter Desert. The Empty Quarter (Arabic name Rub Al Khali) is the one of the most inhospitable deserts in the world.
The itinerary of the EQRE 2024 zero edition follows a part (approximately 290km) of the historic exploration named Calderan Line (1200km length), accomplished in 2020 by the Italian Explorer Max Calderan, who explored the Empty Quarter on foot, from West to East, following exactly the middle line of the Empty Quarter Desert.
This legendary achievement has been worldwide broadcast through the documentary INTO THE LOST DESERT distributed by STX-USA. The Calderan Line has been recognized as a Historical Landmark.
The EQRUN EXPLORATION allows you to live an exploration experience discover your own physical and mental capability in an extreme place. Participating in the EQRE means having your name forever engraved in the center of the Rub Al Khali

PARTICIPATION You need to be a minimum of 18 years old and consider yourself to be fit and healthy enough, and physically able to complete the EQRE as set out in the itinerary, fully acknowledging the possible risks inherent with adventure travel, and have no other critical or medical condition It is mandatory to provide a Medical Certificate of Good Health that includes : Resting ECG, exercise ECG no earlier than 6 month

- Fees are non-refundable.If EQRE Organiser has to cancel your EQRE before the date of departure (other than in the case of a Force Majeure Event) you will be offered either:
- participation at EQRE 2025 edition, or
- a 90% refund of your Registration Fee
Cancellation Charges will be as follows:
Until 01 October 2024 -- 10% of EQRE Cost
From 02 Oct 2024 until 15 Oct 2024-- 50% of EQRE Cost
From 16 Oct 2024 -- 100% of EQRE Cost
